Moscow Triangle

Pg2-Description

I was driving on Ohio State Route 52 in southern Ohio, which is a two lane road running along the Ohio River. It was late at night, around 12:50am sometime in Mid January, 1989. The night was very clear. It was also a cold night, probably 25 -32 F. I had been driving for about 25 minutes at the time of the sighting. I was coming home from a friends house who lives off of Route-52 about 20 miles west from where the sighting was made. Usually to go home, 1 would have to drive West on Route-52 but that night I wanted to drive east for a while so I could listen to some music and relax. I do a lot of driving as relaxation. At the time, I was listening to my new Rolling Stones tape that I had bought that night. After about 15 minutes, I passed the Zimmer Coal Conversion Plant in Moscow, Ohio. Approximately 4 or 5 minutes later, I could see a very bright light shining up from behind a tree line in the distance. As I continued, the road slightly curved to the left. The tree line gradually got out of the way, and I could see an object above an open field approximately 500-1000 feet in the air in a stationary position at first. I am not very good with estimating distances but the best I can do is that it was just a little bit higher than a traffic helicopter flies. The object was a triangular shape, and the bottom of was lit up very brightly. My first reaction was that it was one of those Stealth Fighters but as I looked at it, I realized it was much too big to be a Stealth. I turned the radio down and opened my sun-roof and driver side window. I could hear a low pitched, humming noise which I immediately associated with the object although I have no proof that it was part of the object, it was coming from that general direction and there was nothing else in the area that could had made the noise that I knew of. As I continued, I slowed down as not to pass it too quickly. No sooner than I did that, my headlights got much dimmer than they usually are. My radio started picking up static which it usually doesn't. The static sounded like when someone tunes an AM or short-wave radio. This diverted my attention for a one or two seconds. When I glanced back up the object was in the process of moving from its first position to a lower position, still over the field but further back towards the tree line. Within 3 seconds, I had lost all electrical power in my car and the engine just stopped. The object took off at a high rate of speed, north westward and disappeared behind the trees. I managed to pull my car over to the side of the road. It wouldn't start so I had it towed. Nothing was found wrong with it but a new battery was put in anyways. The mechanic who fixed my car, as of August, 1990 told me he still uses my old battery in his garage. I have come to the conclusion that the thing I saw was, without a doubt, a solid object.
